Booty Babes go Bouldering!

We had a Booty Babes event at the fantastic year old Seattle Bouldering Project this past weekend… 15 women and a couple young ones joined and scaled the walls (without ropes or harnesses… this is free climbing).  We also enjoyed a surprisingly hard core yoga class and I am sure most woke up Sunday with some sore arms.  Yes!  Totally recommend checking this place out!

4th Annual Holiday Shindig!

Lovelies! It was fantastic to dance, share food, swap camp stories, and simply feel the camaraderie, diversity and strength of the wonderful women of our camp community at this year’s event! We had great entertainment from Verbena Bellydance, perfect dance music from DJ Doughboy, Seward Park Camper Stephanie Robbins sang, Aerial artistry from Ashley Arruda, and a little off color fun from burlesque act Man Johnson. We had a ton of awesome door prizes (massages, acupuncture, reflexology, etc) and we had to made ya’ll work for it at least once (amazingly almost everyone was game!) – the camper with the longest plank hold (yes indeed!) won a week of camp!  Huge thanks to Waid’s Haitian Lounge for being our perfect holiday party home and to sexy Santa’s main squeeze Josh Larsen for doing photos!

Traversing the Trails at our Seward Park 5k/10k!

We had a 25 campers and friends turnout Saturday and clear weather for our end of the season 5k/10k on the beautiful trails of Seward Park.

Everyone got their sweat on… but special congrats to Jeni P, Laura S, Lynne G, and Sylvia G who all completed the 10k in just over an hour!  This was  incredibly impressive especially because the route was quite hilly with lots of obstacles like logs to jump over and tight turns. In fact we didn’t expect to see anyone back in under 35 minutes for the 5k but a good group made it at 30 minutes – for 10 minute miles even with the challenging terrain.

Afterward we enjoyed food and door prizes and we also collected $100 for Booty Camp Scholarships!

Thanks all for your support! Big Hugs!!

Paddleboarding August Booty Babes Outing!

We had a fabulously beautiful day this last weekend at Lake Washington for our Paddleboarding and Picnic event.  20 Booty Babes, partners and children came out to try this new and very accessible watersport, share fantastic food, and booty camp camaraderie. Thanks to Paddleboarder Tara Morgan from the the Mt Baker Community Club, and John and Logan from Stand Up Paddle Quest, who were awesome instructors, and super sweet with the kids. Stand Up Paddle Quest is offering all Booty Babes 15% off anytime you use their services – so if you missed the event get out and make use of that soon – the Lake will be warm for another month!

The Snowshoe

We decided on Lower Gold Creek off the Hyak exit and wound up with a great day – no rain and with some very odd warm tropical gusts of wind! We had a small adventure.. when we arrived at a large pond.. a woman not in our group had sat down for lunch and when she tried to get back up somehow her skis wound up slipping out from under her and running out on to the middle of the pond. She was not interested in attempting anything to retrieve them but our intrepid campers suggested retrieving a canoe they had seen on the side of an empty chalet… we went back, the canoe was locked.. but did find a very long pole with a rake attached and a sled.. and with these the skis were retrieved!
